Information we collect on this website
- Contact details you send us through forms or email (name, email, phone, company, message).
- Usage data such as pages visited, device, browser and approximate location, collected through analytics tools and our security/CDN provider (Cloudflare).
- Cookies needed for the site to work and, where you consent, for analytics.
We use this to answer enquiries, deliver our services, keep the site secure, and understand how the site is used.
SEO Go and Google user data
SEO Go is used by Habitat staff to plan search content and report on the websites and advertising accounts we manage for our clients. When a user signs in with Google, SEO Go asks for access to:
- Google Search Console — read-only (
webmasters.readonly): lists the sites the account can see and reads search performance data (queries, clicks, impressions, positions, pages) to show reports and keyword opportunities. - Google Ads (
adwords): reads keyword planning data (keyword ideas, search volumes, bids, locations) and performance reporting for Google Ads accounts the user manages. SEO Go does not create, change or spend on campaigns.
How Google data is used
- Only to provide the features the signed-in user is using in SEO Go.
- Never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to build profiles of individuals.
- Not shared with third parties, except where required by law or with the user's explicit instruction.
- Not used to train general-purpose AI or machine-learning models.
- Humans at Habitat view it only for the account owner's own reporting, for security or support the user requested, or where required by law.
Limited Use disclosure: SEO Go's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Storage and security. Sign-in tokens are stored encrypted-at-rest on Habitat-controlled systems with access limited to authorised staff. Search Console and keyword data are stored only as long as needed for reporting (cached reports are refreshed or deleted when no longer needed).
Revoking access and deleting data. You can disconnect Google at any time in SEO Go → Settings → Disconnect, or at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To have all data SEO Go holds for your account deleted, email hello@worldofhabitat.com. We delete it within 30 days.
Legal bases (EU/UK visitors)
We process personal data to perform a contract or take steps before one (client work, enquiries), for our legitimate interests (site security, service improvement, business contact), and with your consent (analytics cookies). You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who we share data with
Service providers that help us run the website and our services — hosting (Bluehost), security/CDN (Cloudflare), analytics (Google) and email — under contracts that require them to protect it. We don't sell personal data.
International transfers
Some providers process data outside your country (for example in the United States). Where required, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep data
- Enquiries and client correspondence: as long as needed for the relationship and legal record-keeping.
- Analytics: according to the retention settings of the analytics tool (default 14 months).
- SEO Go Google data: until the user disconnects or asks for deletion, and in any case no longer than needed for reporting.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your personal data, and object to processing. Contact hello@worldofhabitat.com. EU/UK residents can also complain to their data protection authority.
Children
Our website and SEO Go are not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change and change the “Last updated” date above.
